Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Mental Health Professional/Counselor to provide direct service for agency clients, including individuals, couples, groups, and families.

The ideal candidate will have broad-based experience in psychotherapy and be proficient in Electronic Medical Records and other technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in strengthening their abilities to function and/or adapt to environmental or personal situations or stresses.
  • Treat patients across the life span suffering with mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, etc.
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and evaluate for appropriate DSM-5 Diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with staff Psychiatrist, if needed, to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Conduct initial evaluations and follow-up therapy sessions to ensure comprehensive care of patients.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, or staff psychiatrist to analyze and consolidate treatment strategy to provide comprehensive services.
  • Identify special needs, problems, or high-risk situations with clients to strategize services and coordinate community services when appropriate.
  • Devise letters or reports for client advocacy when necessary.
  • Formulate clinical documentation to meet expected professional practice as well as accreditation standards.
  • Commitment to providing services in-person a minimum of one day per week at one of our three locations.
  • Maintain client payment accounts and address any billing questions with proper agency staff and with client when necessary.
  • Attend training to enhance skill level and maintain professional license, including in-services and staff development opportunities within the agency.
  • Meet or exceed 1,100 face-to-face sessions.
Requirements
  • Master's or higher-level degree from an accredited school in an area of Mental Health and a valid license in the State of Florida.
  • 2+ years of experience as an independently licensed clinical therapist: LCSW, LMHC, or PsyD/PhD (Telemedicine experience preferred).
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and other technologies.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, communication, and crisis management skills are necessary to assist clients and/or caregivers who may be in distress.
