Classification: Exempt - Full Time
Summary: The Laboratory and Imaging Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Laboratory and Imaging departments at Hunter Health Clinic. This role ensures that all patients receive high-quality diagnostic services while adhering to regulatory standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:Laboratory Management Duties- Directs and manages laboratory staff and activities.
- Oversees in-house testing processes including urinalysis, hematology, microbiology, serology, and chemistry.
- Facilitates sample collection and coordinates external laboratory testing.
- Identifies and clarifies abnormal laboratory findings.
- Maintains an adequate supply inventory for laboratory operations.
- Records and manages logs for all tests conducted.
- Implements new testing protocols as necessary.
- Trains new staff and supports ongoing professional development.
- Ensures compliance with CLIA regulations and maintains necessary certifications.
- Performs additional duties as required.
- Oversees radiology services and coordinates with imaging staff.
- Manages the operation of imaging equipment and staff performance.
- Contributes to strategic planning to meet operational standards in radiology.
- Facilitates communication between patients, physicians, and radiology staff to resolve issues.
- Enhances quality of imaging results through evaluation and improvement processes.
- Provides technical support and implements new imaging procedures as needed.
- Generates statistical reports by managing treatment and clinical data collection.
- Ensures a safe working environment by monitoring radiation exposure and maintaining records.
- Performs additional duties as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Radiologic Technology is required.
- Current licensure and/or certification in the Laboratory or Imaging field is required.
- A minimum of three years of management experience in laboratory or radiology settings is preferred.
- Ability to listen and respond effectively to the needs of patients and staff.
- Strong communication skills with all stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
- Collaborative approach to teamwork and project contributions.
- Commitment to achieving goals and taking initiative.
- Attention to detail and reliability in managing time and priorities.
- Willingness to accept feedback for personal and professional growth.
