About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Perioperative Team at UC Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgeons and anesthesiologists in the operating room.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the surgical suite, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients and families regarding treatment and care, involving them in the assessment and continuing care of the patient as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring operational readiness and reporting any issues or concerns.
  • Support the surgical team in emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and resident/fellow.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer service relationships, anticipating customer needs and continually improving service and quality of patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED minimum required; Associate degree in surgical technology preferred.
  • 6 months- 2 years of active experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
  • Must be certified by the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) and maintain that certification.
  • Computer literacy and demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
