Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Operations Manager to join our Utilities Department. This is an exempt, non-union position with an estimated salary of $93,500 - $126,000 per year based on location and experience. The successful candidate will have a degree in civil engineering or a related field and at least five years of experience in water and wastewater operations and SCADA/Telemetry/Security Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and implementation of annual maintenance and operations of reservoirs, water and wastewater pump stations, and pressure-reducing valves (PRVs).
  • Utilize Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Telemetry systems to ensure proper operation of the Water Supply Distribution System and Wastewater Operations functions.
  • Analyze system function to maintain appropriate pressure and water supply movement through multiple inlet stations.
  • Develop and administer maintenance contracts with outside vendors.
  • Manage work of contractors, ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budget.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient with telemetry software applications, SCADA, Wonderware, Auto-dialer systems, and other data management systems.
  • Competent at planning, scheduling, and big-picture thinking.
  • Effective coordination between multiple staff and agencies.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Able to appropriately confront personnel issues while consistently building team morale.
