Emergency Department Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, MA.
As a Registered Nurse at Baystate Health, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and advancing the field of healthcare. Responsibilities:- Provide patient-centered care, demonstrating knowledge of developmental stages and applying developmental theories and concepts when planning and implementing care.
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and use professional judgment to obtain selective data to arrive at nursing diagnoses and discharge planning needs.
- Implement individualized plans of care, demonstrating proficiency in clinical nursing skills and prioritizing plan of care accurately.
- Provide formal and informal teaching relevant to healthcare needs of patients, utilizing available resources and considering patient/family's level of knowledge and readiness to learn.
- Establish ongoing evaluation and modification of patient care interventions, demonstrating accountability and responsibility for professional nursing practice.
- Communicate pertinent patient information while maintaining confidentiality, documenting patient care and patient responses promptly, clearly and thoroughly on appropriate forms.
- Act as an advocate for patient families, supporting and encouraging patient/family's decisions maintaining respect for life and dignity.
- Assume accountability for management of patient care and provide direct supervision to other health team members.
- Identify own professional educational needs and participate in continuing education programs related to the achievement of own professional goals.
- Promote active participation in quality assurance research activities of health team members within realm of responsibility.
- MA Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association BLS CPR
