Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL A Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely transporting food and food-related products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally to ensure accurate and timely responses to questions and concerns.
  • Perform all required safety checks, including pre/post trip inspections, to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
  • Report all safety issues and/or repairs required to maintain a safe and efficient delivery process.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies to ensure a safe and secure delivery experience.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 6+ months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A and meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attain or have valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years foodservice distribution industry experience
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet)
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e., POD)
  • Customer service-related work experience
