Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and positioning patients and equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare examination rooms for patient examinations, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Position patients and equipment, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Insert commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, monitoring video displays to adjust density or contrast.
  • Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring their safety and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Produce diagnostic images, report important information to physicians, and update patient records.
  • Organize daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitor radiographic supplies.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
Requirements
  • Days with rotating start times.
  • BLS/ACLS/Valid CRT from State of California with Fluoroscopy required.
  • ARRT in Radiology Required.
  • 2 years previous Cath Lab Cardiac Radiology Technologist required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BLS and ACLS.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH).
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Passionate about patient care.
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech/Cardiology program.
  • Active unencumbered Radiology Tech California state license.
  • One year of Epic experience.
