About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our Perioperative Services team at Wilcox Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room, equipment, and instruments for surgery, maintaining aseptic techniques.
  • Perform surgical scrub duties, adhering to sterile techniques for all surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless execution of surgical procedures.
  • Provide professional care services, including patient care plan development and implementation, and coordination of nursing service to restore each patient's health before, during, and after a surgical procedure.
Requirements
  • High school or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technologist training program.
  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist with the National Board of Surgical Technologist and Surgical Assistant (NBSTSA) OR Certified Surgical Technologist Certification with National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year surgical technologist experience.
