Senior Innovation and Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Innovation and Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems.
- Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval.
- Be the primary point of technical contact for suppliers and ensure successful project execution.
- Work with a team of highly skilled engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent or a related field, or 5+ years Amazon experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related.
- Experience must involve ownership/management of engineering design projects.
- Experience using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
- Master's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or foreign equivalent, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field and at least five years of progressively responsible experience in the specialty.
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, robotics and/or high-speed manufacturing.
- Experience with process design and based on Lean Principles.
- Proficiency with concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and problem solving.
- Ability to travel 20%, including globally.

CompensationThe base pay for this position ranges from $118,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
