About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Research Initiatives and Partnerships to join Trinity University. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for undergraduate research to make a meaningful impact.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee and manage Trinity's undergraduate research initiatives, focusing on the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and experience in managing high-impact programs.

Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Manage all aspects of the SURF program, including student recruitment, application processes, program logistics, and event planning.
  • Collaboration and Outreach: Collaborate with academic discipline leads to support the SURF application, selection, and award processes, and develop an outreach and marketing plan to promote undergraduate research opportunities.
  • Data Analysis and Assessment: Oversee program assessment efforts, using data to drive continuous improvement, and design systems to track and analyze data on undergraduate research participation.
  • Leadership and Communication: Lead the development of communication strategies and outreach materials for promoting undergraduate research opportunities, and participate in long-term planning and policy development for undergraduate research programs.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in higher education, preferably in roles related to undergraduate research, student engagement, or academic program management.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting independent or faculty-mentored research at the graduate or undergraduate level.
  • Strong knowledge of computer software technology and ability to learn new technology.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and a comprehensive package.
