Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Millennium Physician Group. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI exams according to established protocols and procedures
  • Optimize the use of the MRI room to accommodate all scheduled and walk-in patients
  • Ensure patient verification and identification before exams
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the MRI room and equipment
  • Obtain patient reports and images through ERAD PACS
  • Monitor patient studies and information in ERAD for accuracy and consistency
  • Call referring physician offices for RX when needed
  • Assist other modalities with proficiency when needed
  • Adhere to ACR guidelines
  • Adjust technical factors to enhance images using FLAIR FAT SAT imaging
  • Enter patient history correctly into ERAD PACS for review by radiologist
  • Prioritize STAT exams and call referring physician with verbal result from radiologist
  • Schedule special procedures correctly and give patient proper instructions
  • Maintain laundry count, change sharps containers as needed, and sanitize room periodically
  • Knowledge and willingness to learn to start IV's for MRI exams
  • Complete super bills with detailed accuracy
  • Screen patients and other individuals before allowing them in the MRI suite
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or accredited radiologic school
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training (preferred)
  • Active State of Florida Radiologic Technology license
  • BLS certification
  • National Registration RT(R) and RT(MR) certification
