Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in high-acuity settings, including Medical Intensive Care Units (MICU), Surgical Intensive Care Units (SICU), and Cardiac Care Units (CCU).
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Perform advanced monitoring techniques and manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation and other respiratory support systems.
- Administer critical medications and manage complex therapies, including Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT).
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including cardiac surgeries.
- Execute the insertion of vascular access lines and assist in invasive procedures as needed.
- Collect and analyze laboratory samples to support clinical decision-making.
- Initiate immediate cardiac assessments and interventions in response to acute symptoms.
- Adhere to advanced life support protocols during critical situations.
- Manage external pacing devices as required for patient stabilization.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records.
- Effectively communicate relevant patient information with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ensure that all nursing practices align with established clinical guidelines and standards.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and maintain necessary certifications.
- Follow safety protocols and employ proper techniques to minimize risk of injury.
- Current, unrestricted RN license from any state in the United States.
- Valid certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) from recognized organizations.
- A minimum of three years of experience in an intensive care environment, demonstrating proficiency in critical care nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to perform in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Team-oriented approach with a focus on collaborative patient care.
- Ability to successfully complete any required background checks.
- Certification in Acute/Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) is highly desirable.
