Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL driver to join our team at Jillamy, Inc. as a local delivery driver. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a straight truck to designated locations and ensuring the timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer unit to one or more destinations in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with all regulations and Company policies.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and policies, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Ensure safe loading, handling, and transportation of materials and cargo, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance and report any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate authorities.
  • Track and document activity logs accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL and DOT physical/medical card required, with a minimum of 3 years of CDL licensed driving experience.
  • Subject to regulatory alcohol and drug testing, including testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, and opioids.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, interpret, and comply with written information and documents.
  • Sharp attention to detail, including accurate data and numbers.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment.
  • Experience with standard Microsoft Office and transportation-related technology preferred.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Valid forklift license/certification or training preferred.
