We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Floor Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care and support to our residents at The Berkeley. As a Floor Nurse, you will work closely with residents and their families to ensure their health, safety, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Resident Care: Provide direct nursing care to residents based on their individual care plans, administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor residents' vital signs and assess their overall health regularly.
- Health Assessments: Conduct health assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and update care plans, identify any changes in residents' health, and report concerns to the Director of Nursing.
- Family Communication: Communicate effectively with residents' families, providing updates on their loved ones' health and well-being, and address any questions or concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Safety and Infection Control: Follow all safety protocols and infection control practices to maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff, and participate in emergency response and evacuation procedures as required.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents, provide guidance and support to nursing assistants as needed, and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.
- Current and valid state nursing license (RN or LPN, as required by state regulations)
- Experience in long-term care or senior living preferred but not required
- Strong clinical and assessment skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a dedication to enhancing the quality of life for seniors
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing senior living communities is a plus
