Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art computerized diagnostic imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including routine and advanced imaging procedures, to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Provide support to other imaging technologists as needed, ensuring seamless workflow and efficient use of resources.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and possible contraindications, adhering to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Interact effectively with patients and care providers, prioritizing procedures to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
  • Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures using CT equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  • Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams, adhering to Infection Control standards.
  • Accurately code and enter charges for exams performed.
  • Adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's Core values.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required; 3 years of CT experience in a clinical imaging setting preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required; Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in CT required.
  • Current state licensure required; Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
