The Shipping Clerk plays a vital role in the logistics and materials management processes at Argentum Medical.
Key Responsibilities:
● Utilize SAP software, UPS World Ship, Pacejet, or other carrier programs to efficiently ship orders.
- Receive incoming materials, ensuring proper labeling and storage after quality inspections.
● Ensure accuracy in warehouse locations and maintain inventory integrity.
● Procure necessary shipping materials such as cartons and tape.
● Assess and select carriers based on cost-effectiveness, delivery speed, and service quality.
- Communicate effectively with various departments including Accounting, Sales, Marketing, and Production.
● Address and resolve logistics challenges, liaising with suppliers and carriers to expedite critical shipments.
● Collaborate within a cross-functional team, demonstrating strong teamwork skills to meet organizational goals for on-time delivery, quality, and profitability. Critical thinking is essential.
● Assist with material handling in the warehouse and assembly areas as required.
- Guide Assemblers during their tasks in the warehouse.
Qualifications:
● A minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and materials management.
● Proficient computer skills are essential.
Knowledge and Skills:
● Experience with MRP systems is required; familiarity with SAP or similar systems is advantageous.
● Understanding of production workflows and purchasing processes.
● Knowledge of inventory management principles.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred.
