Position Details

The Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology within the Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to fulfill the role of attending physician in the Pediatric Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program. This academic clinical position involves daily responsibilities in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with a multidisciplinary team of pediatric hematology-oncology professionals in managing blood disorders and cancers.
  • Provide comprehensive care to pediatric bone marrow transplant patients, including initial consultations, transplant preparations, and post-transplant follow-ups.
  • Participate in active clinical programs focusing on cellular and immune therapies, as well as transplantation for various hematologic malignancies and non-malignant disorders.
  • Contribute to ongoing research initiatives in novel immune and cellular therapies, graft versus host disease, and alternative donor stem cell transplants.
  • Engage in academic work, including education, research, and administrative responsibilities.

Collaboration and Research

The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, and Radiation Oncology, alongside other services at the Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) and within the Department of Pediatrics. There will be opportunities to lead clinical, basic, and translational research programs, implement early-phase clinical trials, and engage in collaborations with established immunotherapy and cell therapy programs.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, with additional training or significant experience in transplantation and cellular therapy preferred. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
