About the Role

The Rehabilitation Technician plays a vital role in supporting the personal care and development of our clients at Hope Network Neuro Rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Crisis Prevention
    • Monitor and ensure the safety of clients 24/7, conducting regular checks and providing support in crisis prevention and resolution.
  • Relationship Building
    • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, built on trust and empathy through consistent and meaningful communication.
    • Foster a spirit of partnership with clients, the community, and other professionals.
  • Activities and Daily Living
    • Support clients in developing effective skills for problem-solving, communication, and independence.
    • Assist clients in identifying and participating in social and leisure interests, such as transportation to stores, concerts, and in-house social events.
    • Support clients with Activities of Daily Living, including getting to and from places, cooking, dressing and undressing, bathing and showering, combing hair, trimming nails, and restroom assistance.
    • Aid clients with bowel and bladder programs, feeding (G-tubes), wound care, and transfers.
  • Health and Wellness
    • Monitor clients' vitals for any medical conditions or illnesses.
    • Promote positive behavior and attend medical appointments to ensure accurate information is relayed between medical providers and the care team.
    • Understand, read, and assist in implementing medical, behavioral, and/or clinical team care plans, providing accurate, timely, and descriptive documentation.
  • Community Integration
    • Connect clients with opportunities in their community to develop relationships with others.
    • Support clients' employment, educational, and volunteer interests and goals.
    Requirements

    Qualifications
    • High school diploma/GED
    • Valid driver's license preferred.
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
    • Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid.
    • Commitment to scheduled shifts, assigned duties, and performance expectations.
    • Basic computer skills.
