Job Summary

Mercy is seeking a highly skilled RN General Surgical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to adult surgical patients, including abdominal, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective care strategies
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patient progress, report changes, and adjust care plans as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
  • Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period
  • ACLS and BLS certifications or obtain within 90 days of hire
