Saber Power Services is seeking a professional and dedicated individual to fill the role of Construction Estimator. This position is responsible for estimating construction projects involving transmission, distribution, and substation electrical construction.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating construction projects and excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimate Preparation: Collect and analyze data to estimate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontract costs for EPC or GC estimates.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, procurement teams, and sub-contractors to develop constructability plans and estimates.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize computer software, primarily Excel and Bluebeam, to calculate estimates.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering and/or Construction Management with 5 years' experience in the medium and high voltage electrical substation and transmission construction industry.
- Prior experience working within the utilities or construction environment highly preferred.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze electric construction drawings and specifications.
- Extensive knowledge of industry practices, procedures, and market trends.
