We are seeking a highly skilled Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our direct patient care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Department.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement policies and procedures for MRI safety, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with the MRI physicist and Medical Director to optimize patient throughput and implement protocols for MRI safety.
- Participate in relevant committees or groups responsible for the safety and welfare of personnel.
- Provide education and training to MRI staff and students on MRI safety protocols and procedures.
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below.
- Three years' experience as an MRI Technologist.
- ARRT-MR - Radiologic Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT) OR ARMRIT - Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist OR CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure AND MRSO - Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (ABMRS) within 1 year AND BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
