Electromyography Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electromyography Technician to join our team at MarinHealth Medical Network. As an Electromyography Technician, you will be responsible for conducting Nerve Conduction Studies and ensuring patient safety and delivering high-quality neurodiagnostic testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine EMG studies and set up, maintain, and disconnect long-term EMG monitoring for ambulatory patients
  • Conduct EMG setups and teardowns, and identify and implement appropriate Neurodiagnostic procedures for diverse patient populations
  • Serve as a resource to other members of the EMG team and promote compliance and support for the department at Marin Health
  • Deliver direct patient care to patients of all ages and ensure patient satisfaction by adhering to Marin Health procedures, ABRET/ACNS Guidelines, and regulations
  • Exercise independent judgment in interdisciplinary patient care contexts and prioritize and evaluate clinical situations using abstract thought

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required
  • Successful completion of a CA AHEP-accredited END Program or Proof of an associates degree plus one year experience in END
  • ABRET EMG Certification or Eligible (in lieu of ASNT certification)
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required
  • Minimum three years full-time experience in equivalent position in lieu of completion of END program
