Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services in various healthcare settings.
- Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, and document findings in patient records.
- Notify physicians of abnormal findings and perform telephone triage and call rotations.
- Perform nursing procedures, administer treatments and medications, and establish care plans in collaboration with patients and the healthcare team.
- Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs, and facilitate discharge planning.
- Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care, and educate patients and families.
- Cover other nursing roles in the department as needed.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of recent experience as an RN.
- Preferred qualifications: two years of recent experience as an RN, experience in cardiology, and skilled in acute assessment and EKG interpretation.
This role requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. It also requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time, corrected hearing and vision to normal range, and some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
