Responsibilities- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks in patient rooms, patient care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways.
- Wash windows, walls, floors, beds, and furniture upon patient discharge, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
- Apply clean linen on disinfected patient beds, adhering to infection prevention and control practices.
- Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Operate and maintain equipment properly, ensuring efficient and effective cleaning processes.
- Transport trash and hazardous waste to designated disposal areas, adhering to safety protocols.
- Replenish supplies, ensuring a well-stocked and organized workspace.
- Report any furniture, fixtures, building, or equipment repairs required to supervisors, prioritizing maintenance and upkeep.
- Follow all infection prevention and control practices, including handwashing techniques, standard precautions, and isolation precautions.
- Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail in all job duties, ensuring a positive experience for patients and staff.
- Complete work assignments in a timely and efficient manner, meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Strive to create a safe and healing environment for patients and family members, adhering to safety rules and regulations.
- Follow all safety protocols while on the job, reporting near misses, errors, and accidents promptly.
- Correct minor safety hazards, communicating with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the workplace.
- Attend all required safety programs and understand responsibilities related to general, department, and job-specific safety.
- Participate in quality projects, as assigned, and support quality initiatives, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
- Work collaboratively with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation, responding willingly to colleagues and serving as an active part of the hospital team.
- Build collaborative relationships with patients, families, staff, and physicians, demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Retrieve, communicate, and present data and information both verbally and in writing, as required, adhering to the Standards of Behavior.
This role requires a rotating shift schedule, Monday through Sunday, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. The pay rate for this position is $12.00 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth within the company.
