Client Support Specialist

About the Position
This role requires an experienced professional to provide supervision, ensure safety, and deliver exceptional customer service to clients in our care. The Client Support Specialist will be responsible for creating a positive experience for our clients by offering a supportive environment that promotes growth and development.
Main Responsibilities
- Document all necessary information accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain regular communication with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless care delivery and proactive problem-solving.
- Promptly report any critical incidents, suspicions of abuse or neglect, and significant unusual incidents as per Necco's Reporting Critical Incidents policy.
Service Provision
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, recreational activities, visitations, and day programming.
- Guide clients in developing essential life skills, such as personal hygiene, interpersonal relationships, emotional control, and informed decision-making.
- Promote adherence to safe practices in daily operations.
Professional Development
- Participate in required training sessions and workshops.
- Evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans according to documented evidence.
Crisis Intervention and Conflict Resolution
- Implement de-escalation strategies based on individualized service plans to assist clients.
- Ensure client well-being by adhering to relevant laws, regulations, and safety protocols outlined in individualized service plans.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Minimum age requirement of 21 years old for residential settings and 18 years old for supported living arrangements.
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental or mental disabilities is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Regular exposure to potential risks, hazards, or challenging situations.
- Compliance with drug testing policies.
- Valid driver's license.
- Capability to complete a comprehensive new hire orientation program within five consecutive days.
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Capacity to physically lift up to 50 pounds.
- Proof of auto insurance (if applicable).
- Enthusiasm for ongoing training and willingness to travel for work-related purposes.
- Successful completion of necessary background checks.
- Proficiency in utilizing software applications, including Microsoft Office, database management systems, electronic health records, and data analysis dashboards.
