Job Description

Job Title: Automotive Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our team at Asbury Automotive Group. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with vehicles.
  • Conduct safety inspections and identify potential problems before they become major issues.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience as a technician's apprentice or equivalent experience in the automotive industry.
  • Valid driver's license and MVR record within company policy requirements.
  • Applicable factory training credentials and local state safety inspection and emissions license preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Larry H. Miller Dealerships' current company management systems desirable.
  • Interacting with Computers- Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required.
  • English Language- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.

Working Conditions:

  • Work performed in a dealership setting due to the location of customer vehicles and shop supplies.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls and move about facilities.
  • Required vision includes close, vision, distance, peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Required to lift up to a minimum of 100lbs.
