POSITION SUMMARY

The primary duty of the Senior Construction Financial Analyst is to assist the project team with contract adjustments, compliance matters, payment processing, reporting, and other project-related responsibilities.

Analysts may be required to travel to project locations for status review meetings. This role reports directly to the Division Controller.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee all financial functions related to assigned projects.
  • Support project teams with inquiries or requirements concerning project finances.
  • Manage vendor billing and compliance for designated projects.
  • Prepare monthly billings for owners along with necessary documentation.
  • Assist Project Managers in reviewing Budget versus Actual costs and recommend adjustments as necessary.
  • Understand compliance obligations for assigned projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately process vendor purchase orders and invoices within designated timelines.
  • Handle sub-contractor agreements and change orders with precision and within set deadlines.
  • Collect and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Generate various reports including Payroll Hours, Accounts Receivable, Contract Status, and Job Cost.
  • Input owner billings into Viewpoint Construction Accounting Software.
  • Process Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and Change Orders using ProjectSight Software.
  • Review Job Cost Detail Reports with Project Managers weekly for accuracy.
  • Conduct monthly project billing and reconcile costs against budgets.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of prior experience as a construction project accountant.
  • Experience in the Commercial Construction sector is preferred, particularly with General Contractors.
  • Proficient in data entry tasks.
  • Adaptable to changing task requirements.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Key competencies include Communication, teamwork, initiative, and reliability.
