Annual compensation is set at $52,353.60.

Role Summary

The Emergency Medical Technician will function primarily in a non-fire suppression capacity, delivering emergency medical services that include comprehensive medical evaluations, advanced life support (ALS) interventions, and patient transport. Adherence to established protocols and policies is paramount in ensuring the safety and well-being of those we serve.

Work Schedule

This position operates on a rotating schedule of 48 hours on duty followed by 96 hours off, averaging a 56-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver emergency and non-emergency medical care to individuals in various situations.
  2. Respond to medical emergencies, providing life-saving interventions as necessary.
  3. Safely operate ambulances and other emergency vehicles in compliance with departmental driving regulations.
  4. Maintain professionalism and a safe demeanor while on duty.
  5. Ensure confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  6. Keep all required certifications and licenses up to date.
  7. Document patient care and complete necessary reports accurately.
  8. Assist in the transportation of patients to appropriate medical facilities.
  9. Participate in the maintenance and readiness of vehicles and medical equipment.
  10. Collaborate with team members to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of full-time experience as a non-probationary EMT in a transporting ALS system.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Nevada Ambulance Attendant license.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and transporting patients, and working in various environmental conditions.
