About the Role

The Chief Physician plays a vital role in providing direct patient care to underserved populations in Delaware. This position is responsible for caring for migrant families, individuals in high social vulnerability areas, and those at risk for various health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations, diagnose conditions, order necessary tests, and make informed recommendations
  • Prescribe treatment, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Perform outpatient surgical procedures with precision and care
  • Collaborate with medical and nursing staff, participate in case conferences, and provide guidance on treatment plans to ensure comprehensive care
  • Create and implement individualized care plans to achieve positive outcomes
  • Communicate medical information to patients and families in a clear and compassionate manner

Requirements:

  • Delaware Physician M.D. or Delaware Physician D.O. license
  • At least six months of medical practice experience
  • Experience in health program administration and policy development

Additional Information:

This is a Casual/Seasonal position and is non-pension eligible.
