Electrical Test Engineer - Hardware Validation

Waabi is an AI company building the next generation of self-driving technology. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our self-driving system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Debug and resolve hardware issues efficiently using first principles approach.
  • Perform PCB rework, including soldering and desoldering ICs as needed.
  • Maintain and update hardware test benches to ensure alignment with vehicle configuration.
  • Collaborate with Firmware, Systems, and Electrical teams to support system integration and testing.
  • Automate hardware commissioning processes and provide both remote and on-site support for troubleshooting.
  • Document issues, solutions, and best practices to drive continuous improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 4+ years of work experience debugging hardware component failures.
  • Foundational understanding of analog and digital circuits.
  • Proficient in soldering and using lab tools.
  • Hands on experience building HIL benches.
  • Strong knowledge of debugging CAN and Ethernet protocols.
  • Proficiency with Linux for command-line tasks and Python for automation.
  • Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions.

Work Environment:

Requires 4 days a week of in-office collaboration to ensure effective hardware bring-up and validation.
