Medstar Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to become a vital part of our healthcare team.
We are in search of an individual certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), possessing a solid understanding of cross-sectional anatomy.
The Radiologic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for generating computerized tomographic images of specific anatomical regions, including but not limited to abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetric, and gynecological areas.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts CT imaging studies, gathers patient history, clarifies standard procedures, and addresses any patient inquiries. Executes CT techniques and examinations, including abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, obstetric and gynecological scans, as well as radiation therapy localization for treatment planning and minor surgical interventions.
- Performs intravenous access and administers contrast materials in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Orders and maintains necessary supplies to ensure availability of materials at all times.
- Reviews and assesses completed imaging tests for quality, thoroughness, and appropriateness of the tests performed. Guarantees high-quality imaging results. Operates equipment as instructed.
- Assists in transporting patients to the imaging suite; prepares and organizes the room for daily operations. Where applicable, refers to competency validation documents for the populations served.
Qualifications:
- Completion of training in computer-assisted tomography.
- Experience in CT imaging or completion of an accredited CT training program.
- Valid ARRT or NMTCB certification with the necessary documentation to perform diagnostic CT imaging.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- An associate's degree is preferred.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $59.26 per hour.
