Senior Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer - Android to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative mobile applications that transform the Health and Wellness space. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and shipping high-quality features that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement features from specifications
  • Contribute to quality assurance of implemented features
  • Ship features and monitor in production
  • Collaborate with product and design teams
  • Interact with other mobile teams for features consistency
  • Interact with backend teams for API definition

Requirements:

  • Extensive understanding of Android framework components and their respective lifecycles
  • Solid knowledge of multithreading and networking
  • Extensive knowledge of offline storage, caching, and performance tuning
  • Expert-level knowledge of Java, Android SDK, and Gradle
  • Experience with Kotlin is ideal (we are migrating our codebase)
  • Experience in developing content-rich applications with animation and window transition using Material Design
  • Experience in good app architecture using design patterns such as MVVM and MVP
  • Ability to build products with a focus on testability and someone who loves test coverage
  • A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation, and code structure in a team environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area
  • 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area
  • 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area
