AHRC New York City Job Description

The AHRC New York City is seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to provide speech and language rehabilitation services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology, a current license in New York State as a Speech and Language Pathologist, and a minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting or OPWDD environment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate speech and language functioning to determine therapy needs and develop a personalized rehabilitation plan.
  • Re-evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Treat individuals with disabilities, disorders, and injuries related to speech and language functioning.
  • Complete required documentation paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current license in New York State as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting or OPWDD environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work productively in a collaborative setting.
