Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize estimating software to prepare and submit detailed appraisals, outlining costs for parts, labor, and materials necessary for vehicle restoration.
  • Advise claims personnel on vehicle repairs, parts pricing, and total loss determinations.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding estimates, addressing inquiries and facilitating claim payments.
  • Identify necessary equipment for repairs and investigate the origins of claims by liaising with relevant parties.
  • Negotiate settlements for physical damage claims, explaining the process and outcomes to customers in an understandable manner.
  • Manage individual claim inventories to meet productivity targets while maintaining compliance with state-specific regulations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with electronic estimating systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret automobile insurance policies and underwriting guidelines.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in dispute resolution.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations related to claims.

Licensing Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • State-specific property casualty claims licensing will be provided through training.

Travel and Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be required, with up to 10% of time spent on the road.
  • Ability to visit locations with varying conditions, including those with potential hazards.
