Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse for our Medical/Surgical Unit. This position offers a competitive sign-on bonus with a commitment period.
**What We Are Looking For**
Our Medical/Surgical Department is in need of a Full-Time Clinical Nurse to join our dynamic team at a 73-bed acute care facility.
The unit specializes in the care of patients with Cardiac, Renal, and Neurological conditions, managing both chronic and acute cases, often with multiple health challenges.
Nurses in this role may assist with hemodialysis or care for patients recovering from cardiac procedures.
Our Clinical Nurses uphold high standards of care through:commitment, effective communication, exceptional customer service, responsiveness, ownership, and a positive outlook.
**Key Responsibilities**
Primary Duties:
- Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process
- Assess and plan individualized care for patients
- Implement appropriate interventions and evaluate their effectiveness
- Enforce safety and infection control protocols
- Educate patients and their families continuously
- Ensure continuity of care across all departments
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Nursing
- Active Registered Nurse license in Texas
- Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience or completion of an RN residency
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training or within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Previous experience in Cardiac, Renal, Neurological, or telemetry nursing
