Position Overview:
The Trauma Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a highly skilled professional who, through extensive clinical experience and advanced education, has developed specialized expertise in trauma care. This role requires advanced knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive patient assessments and management. The NP plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver exceptional, family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize knowledge of anatomy, neurology, pharmacology, and medical terminology to inform patient care.
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including physical exams and diagnostic tests.
  • Order and interpret laboratory results, diagnose conditions, and administer appropriate treatments.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper coding for billing purposes.
  • Lead clinical teams during shifts to optimize patient flow and care delivery.
  • Mentor new staff and students in clinical practices.

Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current certifications in ACLS and BLS.
  • Proficient in computerized medical record systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner upon hire.
  • Certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Occasional climbing and balancing.
  • Constantly engaging in talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
