Cashier Associate Job Description

The Sales Support Associate role is a vital part of the store's overall success and efficiency, requiring direct attention to our brand commitment when servicing our customers. This position demands a friendly, efficient, and effective approach at the cash wrap and a well-maintained sales floor. Accurate and timely work, supporting the flow of product from receipt to point of sale, is essential to this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers with a smile and offer assistance at the cash wrap
  • Interact genuinely and naturally with customers, reading cues to determine their needs
  • Conduct email/name capture, where permitted by law, and maintain accuracy when operating POS
  • Maintain cash wrap organization and cleanliness, suggesting multiple add-ons and selling gift cards
  • Represent Coach brand appropriately and create a lasting impression by thanking customers and providing a reason to return
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Receive shipments and transfers, notifying Store Management when new product arrives
  • Scan cartons/transfers, verifying store information is correct, and communicate discrepancies to Store Management
  • Process shipments/transfers according to Coach standards and timeframes, organizing and cleaning the stock room daily
  • Shift/organize product in the stockroom, reacting to sell through and making room for new product
  • Manage stock levels/product ownership in back-of-house and sales floor, preparing and conducting regular cycle counts as directed
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of previous retail experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment
  • Current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
  • Knowledge of cash register systems, basic computer skills, and ability to use iPad/laptop, Mobile POS, and Internet
  • Ability to execute at a fast pace, communicate effectively with customers and team, and maneuver the sales floor, sales shelves, and stock room
