El médico de medicina hospitalaria es responsable de la atención de todos los pacientes admitidos al servicio hospitalario durante uno de los dos turnos nocturnos.
Esto incluye la evaluación de pacientes, la orden y la interpretación de pruebas diagnósticas, la gestión de medicamentos y la educación del paciente. Esta posición también trabajará en estrecha colaboración con el equipo diurno para garantizar una transición fluida de la atención.
Responsabilidades:
- Existen dos (2) turnos de 12 horas que los médicos pueden trabajar: de 5pm a 5am o de 8pm a 8am.
- Programación flexible y se requiere trabajar quince (15) turnos de doce (12) horas al mes.
- Evaluar a los pacientes admitidos al hospital durante la noche a través del departamento de emergencias.
- Ordenar e interpretar pruebas diagnósticas.
- Gestionar medicamentos.
- Proporcionar educación al paciente.
- Colaborar estrechamente con el equipo diurno para asegurar una transición de atención sin problemas.
- Asistir a rondas y conferencias.
- Completar toda la documentación requerida.
- Participar en iniciativas de mejora de calidad.
- Mantener la licencia y la certificación de la junta.
- Título de MD o DO.
- Certificación de la junta en Medicina Interna.
- Fuertes habilidades clínicas.
- Excelentes habilidades de comunicación e interpersonales.
- Capacidad para trabajar de forma independiente y como parte de un equipo.
- Disponibilidad para trabajar noches y fines de semana.
