Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher I to join our team at North Bay Children. As a key member of our educational staff, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young students.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement diverse, age-appropriate activities that promote social-emotional, cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, and physical development in children.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and inviting classroom environment that meets the needs of all children.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement child behavior plans, interventions, and resource referrals.
  • Provide warmth and positive attention to each child, recognizing and respecting their individual cultural and ethnic background.
  • Practice positive reinforcement and redirection methods to promote positive self-esteem and social skills.
  • Adhere to all California State Licensing regulations, including maintaining required supervision of children at all times and conducting daily set-ups of classrooms and outdoor play areas.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with parents through open and responsive communication.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings, planning meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in ECE programs or equivalent.
  • 24 ECE units plus 6 units in Infant/Toddler Development plus General Education units, or a CTC Teacher Permit.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and fulfill physical requirements of the job.
  • Proof of current immunizations, TB clearance, and CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Valid Driver's License (if transporting children).
  • Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training.

$24.5-26.52 Yearly Salary
