The BayPort Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our Branch Operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, ensuring their needs are met, and exceeding their expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide quality service to members, responding to their inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify member needs and provide information on membership eligibility, account types, loan products, and other credit union services.
- Open new accounts, including share accounts, debit cards, IRAs, and certificates, and process loan requests.
- Interview loan applicants, process loan requests, and fund approved loans.
- Complete the credit union onboarding process and maintain loan requests.
- Respond to member requests, problems, and concerns by problem-solving via email, phone, and/or written correspondence.
- Provide a high level of professional, quality service, and educate members on credit union products and services that will benefit both parties.
- Cultivate and retain member relationships by providing quality service with a professional, positive attitude.
- Education equivalent or greater than a high school diploma.
- 12 months of experience in a financial institution setting, specifically related to teller, member service, and loan functions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to enhance the customer relationship.
- Strong listening and customer service skills.
- NMLS Certification within 30 days of hire.
This position requires travel to all BayPort Credit Union branch locations, with additional compensation earned for travel.
