Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Love's Travel Stops. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing light mechanical issues with diesel engines, as well as providing preventative maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues with diesel engines, including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components.
  • Assist customers with roadside services, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Provide preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining clean and organized work areas and interacting with customers and drivers from all over.
  • Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds, and work in various temperatures.
  • Always put the safety and satisfaction of customers first, complying with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
  • Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation (paid by Love's).
