About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Central Sterile Endoscope Processing Technician II to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate and clean reusable medical devices, including endoscopes, instruments, and equipment, using approved personal protective equipment (PPE) and manual and automated cleaning tools.
  • Assemble and package reusable medical devices, documenting all work using instrument tracking software and inspecting and assembling equipment following product recipes.
  • Perform sterilization and high-level disinfection of reusable medical devices, interpreting package labeling and selecting appropriate sterilization methods and cycles.
  • Manage inventory, inspecting items during the pick process and communicating unmet supply requests.
Requirements
  • CRCST or CBSPD certification.
  • Preferred: CER certification.
  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Some college or Associate's Degree.
  • At least one year of direct experience in Sterile Processing functions within an operative setting.
  • Preferred: Experience in a large Academic Medical Center or Trauma Center.
Working Conditions

This role requires rotating weekend and on-call requirements, involves large amounts of time walking and standing, and exposure to the Operating Room environment. Strict dress code including wearing surgical scrubs is required.
