Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Water Safety Instructor to join our team at the City of Conroe. As an Aquatic Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching learn to swim classes to children and adults, planning, conducting, and organizing designated swimming development classes or water safety presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach American Red Cross Water Safety curriculum to children and adults
- Plan and conduct swimming development classes and water safety presentations
- Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Maintain a safe and organized pool area
- Provide excellent customer service to participants and their families
Requirements:
- Minimum of 16 years of age and actively pursuing high school diploma
- American Red Cross Certifications - Water Safety Instructor (WSI), PCPR/AED, and First Aid or equivalent certification
- Valid Texas "Class C" driver's license
- Skill in good communication and public relation
- Ability to swim, bend, stoop, twist, and reach when teaching and maintaining pool area
