We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in the Clinic department. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting our healthcare team, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will function in a collaborative practice with physicians and/or advanced practice providers in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by providers and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain patient charts and records
  • Assist with vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and hemoglobin
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by providers
  • Assist with procedures, such as injections and wound care
  • Provide patient education and support
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
Requirements
  • High School diploma required
  • Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required
  • Minimum 1-year experience in outpatient pediatric practice or equivalent family practice outpatient preferred (as determined by department), or immediately post-externship in a pediatrics practice or clinic setting
  • CPR - BLS required
  • National certification preferred
