About the Job

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced Truck Technician I to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to resolve complex issues and improve maintenance processes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques through ongoing training and professional development
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in heavy truck maintenance and repair
  • ASE certification in diesel engines and other relevant areas
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL
