Design Drafter

Titan America, a leading cement producer in the eastern United States, is seeking a skilled Drafting Designer to join our Corporate Engineering Division. As a key member of our team, you will assist project engineers with AutoCAD and related tasks to create CAD files and drawing packages for various projects.
Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of 3D scanning and modeling tools.
- Create and modify 3D models.
- Develop detailed drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and connection details.
- Estimate material quantities and costs.
- Use predesigned templates to complete construction drawing packages.
- Develop databases and libraries to optimize re-use of existing data.
- Set up drawing formats and configuration files.
- Assist in the development of design standards.
- Evaluate topography and recommend areas requiring grading.
- Evaluate vendor and contractor proposals for alignment with project requirements.
- Identify and communicate design challenges, conflicts, and clashes.
- Issue and record drawing submittals and revisions.
- Research design codes related to project requirements.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree or 5-10 years of similar experience required.
- Working knowledge of CAD software, 3D scanning, and modeling tools.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of engineering design principles.
- Self-motivated and able to work well in a team environment.
- Diligent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills to work with project managers and engineers.
- Design management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe.
