Job Title: Cardiac Interventional Radiographer

Medasource is seeking a skilled Cardiac Interventional Radiographer to join our team in Lafayette, Indiana.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cardiac Interventional Radiographer to work with our team in Lafayette, Indiana. As a Cardiac Interventional Radiographer, you will be responsible for assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to help diagnose and treat heart and blood vessel diseases without surgery.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Set up and run equipment for imaging procedures
  • Provide general patient care to cardiac catheterization patients
  • Perform basic cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Assist with image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat heart and blood vessel diseases
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support certification required
  • Advanced Life Support certification may be required, depending on the facility
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Post-high school coursework in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology required
  • Additional college coursework in health care, biological sciences, or related disciplines preferred
  • Knowledge of various cardiac catheterization procedures and related equipment and instruments required
  • Knowledge of scrubbing and circulating techniques required
  • Knowledge of respiratory, EKG equipment, and basic knowledge of cardiac and emergency procedures required
  • Health care experience involving direct patient care, noninvasive cardiovascular service, or directly related technical patient care experience required
