Position Overview

Job Summary: As a Forklift Operator, your primary responsibility will be to maneuver a forklift to transport goods within the warehouse. This includes putting away, retrieving, and rotating full pallets of stock through the inventory reserve racks using a stand-up forklift.

Compensation: Starting pay is $29.50 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $33 per hour. This position is for the 3rd Shift, commencing at 1 AM, Sunday through Thursday.

Our team operates state-of-the-art material handling equipment (MHE) and utilizes advanced communication technology. Management is dedicated to providing hands-on training and support for long-term career growth.

Your Contributions:

  • Transport merchandise from receiving docks or storage areas to designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Accurately complete purchase orders and maintain inventory records using handheld devices.
  • Stack and rotate merchandise, ensuring proper replenishment of stock.
  • Deliver materials/products to production lines and manage finished products from production to storage.
  • Maintain accurate records of quantities, pack sizes, and descriptions.
  • Unload materials/products from trailers and utilize necessary technology for product selection.
  • Complete required paperwork for material transfers and maintain a clean work area.

Work Environment:

Your work environment may include:

  • Freezer (-20F to 0F)
  • Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)
  • Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • MHE/Forklift Certification
  • Experience operating stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, or cherry pickers
  • A commitment to safety and reliability
  • Ability to maintain productivity and quality work standards

Physical Requirements:

Physical demands include:

  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
  • Frequent handling, reaching, and lifting up to 60 lbs
  • Continuous sitting, hearing, seeing, and repetitive movement
