POSITION SUMMARY:

The Medium Truck Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of personnel and cargo across various routes, adhering to all specified requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives vehicles equipped with trailers to deliver goods and personnel to designated locations, whether local or remote.
  • Ensures proper loading and securing of cargo, in compliance with all regulatory standards and vehicle capabilities.
  • Conducts routine inspections and maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment, including tow vehicles and trailers.
  • Completes additional tasks as directed in line with Mission Support Requirements.
  • Must accurately follow detailed instructions and arrive at designated pick-up or drop-off locations punctually.
  • Utilizes navigation tools, whether GPS-assisted or traditional maps, to plot specific routes and grids as required.
  • Operates the assigned vehicle safely across various road conditions, including challenging terrains.
  • Regularly communicates via mobile radio to coordinate logistics and operations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with standard military terminology and radio communication protocols.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid Class D Chauffeur's License or higher.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 12 months driving experience with a Class D Chauffeur's License or higher.
  • Advanced knowledge of military terminologies and radio procedures.
  • Ability to obtain a secret security clearance is advantageous.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel independently within the continental US and internationally.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening and be subject to random drug tests.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain good physical condition while working outdoors.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.
  • Must be able to work both day and night shifts as required.
