Job Summary

RSC Healthcare is seeking a skilled Contract Nurse to join our team as a Mental Health Specialist. This is a 13-week contract position, working 36 hours per week, with a 12-hour day shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team to collaborate on client care.
  • Engage consumers in treatment planning and service delivery.
  • Provide direct care as outlined in the individualized Care Treatment Plan.
  • Assist consumers with basic needs and activities of daily living through modeling, direct assistance, and coaching.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of client emotional well-being, clinical symptomology, behavioral changes, and medication compliance.
  • Provide psychosocial education for consumers and family members on mental illness, symptom management, medication compliance, and life skills.
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • One year of experience working with consumers with mental illness.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in New Jersey.
  • Valid NJ driver's license with less than 6 points.
